Ambling through the woods
Beside beyond our house
A lonely dirt paved path
Cannot describe by mouth
The shade of trees envelope
Such little light its pierce
A brook it weaves nearby
Underneath the path so dear
The tweeting of the birds
The sound clear not loud
The other life it flees
Because a strangers heard
The voyage weaves through town
Some houses visible light
Overtake a school
And stranger dogs no fright
And then the path explored
A bridge transverse brook then stairs
The creaky wood quite frail
Little river greets me there
Inhale the air so clear
Its dimness not forebode
Refreshed at one with god
Delightful home abode
Ahead the houses intrude
Like some unwelcomed guests
The nature life gives way
The urban ghost wont rest
Alas the trek ends soon
Resolve to return
A majesty not glean
When these paths return

family love
As quickly as we said hello
We have to bid goodbye
The morose happy tears
The empty yearning sighs
Alas we felt such joy
The morn they dawned on us
In necessity we part
Such is nature’s bluff
The three young angels clear
Who constant yearn for sweets
Their tiny gorgeous eyes
With little hands and feet
Who race up down the stairs
Their constant babble heard
Whose laughter is a light
Far beyond absurd
Then theres 2 young niece
Felicity they feel
The blood ties palpable
In delight they squeal
Mom and dad in here
Who too beam in delight
The grand kids rejeuvenate
In memories delight
Their dad my old comrade
The responsible man
Who juggles work and young
His wisely settled plans
I look at him and see
All the traits I’m not
A true family man
His virtues that I sought
And then the charming wife
Who deftly organize
Secure affection love
2 dark gorgeous eyes
To part temporary
For family shares 1 heart
Dismiss the distance true
The strength of love so stark
