Its 930 late at night I think my duties done Ahead a bus ride and the train As night the sunlight shuns The voyage is quite so Far Vehicles jammed with folks The smiles are rare as all are tired Else me, the lonesome bloke All are lost in their affairs Some sleep and others surf Fight dizzy head and numb legs Perhaps my just deserts The rush of mankind oh so fast Who run headlong to rest Lifes truly strange and wonder filled Some others out of breath The road seems lonesome all alone As cars rush by dark lake My light is dim and shows not warmth Snall words can hardly make And yet in this night theres peace Communion with the lord Left alone with my old thoughts Detesting the absurd
